Though comparatively little is known about his front loaders, it would appear that Arthur E. Bausenbach was somewhat the eastern equivalent to Ray Gaskin Service of southern California. Pictured above is his new 1963 Super Duty front loader, which looks very much like an E-Z Pack Hydro side loader fitted with Dempster-style lift arms. Bausenbach may in fact have built these primarily for his leasing operation, which advertised rates of $3.75 per hour for this truck.

By 1972, Bausenbach front loaders were being built across the state on Long Island by Sanitary Controls Inc. , of Deer Park. This Bausenbach Push and Tilt was undoubtedly a half-pack type, and may represent an early attempt to popularize the California style front loader in the east. The firms other products also included a roll-off, as well as stationary refuse packers and various containers. Sanitary Controls seem to have been unable to survive the 1970's. Bausenbach had no patents for the front load refuse trucks that bore his name, but did design stationary equipment for Sanitary Controls Inc. He died in early 1979.
