UNSOLVED MYSTERIES
(#Z106) 1992 HOLLISTER DISPOSAL FRONT LOADER

AMREP SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION (Tentative Identification)

This WM-Hollister Disposal asset was never identified from the old salvage sale album. The non-compaction body could have been built by any one the southern California micro-builders, or could be an "in house" job. The White WXLL was listed as a 1992 model, but had no information about the body.

UPDATE December 26, 2011
This truck body has been tentatively identified as an AMREP. Scott Mattson details several important clues:
Looking at the picture there are a few tell-tale signs that this may be an Amrep 'one-off':

Cab Guard: Definitely Amrep construction, possibly a part sale

Arms: Arms are indicative of a late 80s arm with under-body cylinders

Rear door: Appears to be s-cam style locking with Amrep style door hoist & top hinges

Hydraulic Tank: Greatly resembles an Amrep hydraulic tank

Hopper Cover: Amrep Style

It is possible all of the items I listed were aftermarket purchases, but I doubt it. Amrep over the years has made a number pieces of specialty equipment for them [Waste Management]. I will ask around and see I can get a confirmation.

UPDATE: See note on Yosemite Front Loader (#Z141)

Contact CRT if you can positively identify this or any of the trucks shown on these pages, or if you have pertinent information on them, or would like to add a different truck to the list
