Boughton International Refuse Disposal Equipment
Anchorpac Division
Wolverhampton, United Kingdom

Beginning in the 1970s, Boughton produced a front loader based in the Cobey design, and called Anchorpac for the British market. These look almost identical to the American Cobeys, and feature a unique vertical cylinder lift arm arrangement located inside the front of the body. Smaller compensator cylinders are located on the sides of the body and act as shock absorbers. In addition to front loaders, Boughton also produced the Ampliroll hook-lift body in the UK, both for straight bin hauling or equipped with the Anchorpac front-loader lift arms, and even a rear loader.

Taking the Cobey design farther than it ever went in America, Boughton even introduced a curved-shell design during the 1990s. However, front loaders were discontinued following re-organization in 1997. Now known as Reynolds-Boughton, the company still produces the hook-lift bodies.
