Dow Packer Corporation
Fairview, Oklahoma

Just one hydraulic cylinder performed all functions on Ray Allen Dow's packer body. It elevated and upended the loading bucket through links, which opened and closed a rear packer plate in synchronization with the bucket. Various locks to the mechanism and linkage directed power to raise the end gate and tilt the body. It featured dual-side control levers, and had a dump cycle time of 9-seconds. Body sizes were 14, 16 and 21-cubic yards.

This ambitious design combines elements of the Leach Refuse Getter and Heil Colecto-Pak into a single package. A patent application was made in 1961, but these are believed to have been in production somewhat earlier than that date. It is unknown how long the company remained in business.
