Kraus Manufacturing Cedar Rapids, Iowa     George Kraus had worked for Highway Equipment Co., and builder of salt/sand spreader bodies. Kraus formed his own company in 1957, building spreaders and by the mid-1970s added the Pic-a-Pac, a satellite refuse collection body for light-duty trucks.
