The Nash and Sherren Mark IV Refuse Collector first appeared around 1952, and appears very similar to the Shefflex dustless rear loader which was built around the same time. Dual hydraulic hoists and the rear lifted bins up and over into the rear of the body, where a trimming and compacting plate pushed the load forward. Dumping the 16 or 18 cubic yard was by hydraulic tipping. The 1954 example shown here rides atop a Dennis Pax chassis.
