Valpak Manufacuring Inc. was founded by the Valleroy family at St. louis in 1963. They were a distributor for several brands of refuse collection equipment, as well as their own line known as Val-Pak. Side loaders, roll-offs, bin-lifts, containers and stationary packers were built. A machine shop for the manufacture of hydraulic components was added in 1967. However, the company was dealt a severe blow when fire completely destroyed the plant in 1973. The Valleroy family continues in business today as Valtec Hydraulics Inc., specializing in the manufacture and repair of hydraulic components.
