- OCTOBER 2004 -
Schorling 2R Packmaster

UPDATED: 2R eats Volkswagen
When this truck was first featured in October of 2004, I had used a grainy black & white image scanned from a Leach publication, and incorrectly billed this as an American-built 2R Packmaster.

However, CRT contributor Michel Ferro later provided the color images shown on this page. While the truck is obviously a 2R, it is in fact an example of the German-built Schorling version. Schorling frequently demonstrated the prowess of the 2R by having it eat compact automobiles, which it could do with ease.

From these images, it is easy to see why the 2R has long been a favorite for use in heavy-duty refuse collection and demolition debris.
