CRT COLLECTORS CORNER Number 16, Fall 2009 PIERRE COLLETTE PACKMASTER 2R-II 
Collectors Corner keeps the Leach 2R Packmaster anniversary party rolling right along, with the latest creation by Pierre Collette. This 2R-II is a hand-made 1/32 scale box mounted on a Peterbuilt 379 model chassis. 
PACKMASTER PUSH-OUT BODY 
2R Fans will surely love this classic body shell, modeled after the beloved 1963-85 production. These are actually two slightly different bodies which Pierre built for a friend in Ontario. Both were left in primer, with final painting to be completed by the end user, which greatly reduces the cost. One is in 1/32 scale and was mounted on a First Gear model chassis. The other was done in 1/25 scale to go on a Mack model truck chassis.

CORRECTION: RIDE-ON REFUSE TRUCK TOY 
A ride-on toy, sold on Ebay and listed as "refuse truck" was shown in Collectors Corner #15 back in July. As can be seen from the photo above of a different example, this Marx toy is in fact a generic delivery truck, and not a refuse truck. Perhaps the rounded back had caused the seller to assume it was a refuse truck, since that one was missing its "Deluxe Delivery" decal. TEKNO GEESINK GPM3 REPLICAS 
Courtesy of Matthew Robinson, I have been made aware of some nice looking refuse truck models from Tekno, a long standing model making company based in The Netherlands. A replica Geesink GPM3 rear loader is available on several different chassis/color combinations. I don't have any specific details on these, so if anybody owns one and can fill us in (scale, function, etc.), please contact CRT.
