Tom's McLean Service
The Great Remodeling; Part III
February 4, 5 an 6, 1991

The work continued on Monday, both painting and construction. The weather was exceptional for February, and lot was accomplished during these three days.

(February 4 1991) Painting the house resumes on Monday, finishing the massive western face

(February 4 1991) Back at the main building, the first wall studs and roof joist

(February 4 1991) Siding going up, and the two doors are framed

(February 5 1991) Interior view; door at left leads to "the hole", door at right to what would be the new parts room.
Looks like one of Tom's phone poles survived the remodel!

(February 5 1991) Inside the white house; A rare view of the southeast corner room, the old recon showroom.
The windows had been covered for years, and this is probably first sunlight to hit the floor in 30 years.

(February 6 1991) Virginia Concrete arrives to pour the parts room slab

(February 6 1991) Brush finishing the new concrete floor of the parts room

(February 6 1991) Parts room door is boarded shut while concrete sets

(February 6 1991) The white house is becoming gray. Some of the window trim is complete.

(February 6 1991) The old screens were removed from the north side windows, and the door was covered over for security
