Tom's McLean Service
The Great Remodeling; Part VII, Tom's Open House
May, 1991
Pat Palmisani provided these beautiful high-quality images of the grand re-opening, which took place on a Saturday in May, 1991. This busy day featured a cookout, and equipment demonstrations. Since I was working at the counter that day, I was unable to take photos. Luckily, Pat saved these images to preserve the memory.
Starting the festivities is Ray Evans, Lawn-Boy representative for Stull Power Equipment of Beltsville, with a lineup of 1991 mowers.
Ray is retired now, and still resides in Northern Virginia.
I believe this may be Jack Wilfong for Stull Power at the Amerind-MacKissic power equipment display of chippers and vacs.
Sandy Murnan, Eric Voytko and Danny Palmisani at the sales counter. At left is the entrance to the new parts room. The counter was part of the original shop, as was the overhead loft above it.
Wayne and Sandy at the counter during a long day, while Katie Grawe from Animal General Hospital helps out with an endless supply of balloons.
The cookout was the most popular event. Danny Palmisani is in the foreground.
Jeff Culpepper carries a fuel can down to the demonstration area,
while Danny Palmisani fires up a smoke.
No, that's not a Budweiser that Bruce Taylor is knocking back...it is in fact, a Cherry Coke.
To the right of Bruce, Mark Baker enjoys a good cigar.
Rodney Corner was manning the grill that day
Wayne says, "Rodney, make mine a double!"
