ADR Industries
Salinas, California

Johnn Knapp had started Bison Industries in 1981 to market the Parks Retriever System, a unique satellite side loader. He sold that company to Peerless Corporation, remaining with the company as General Manager of Bison Products Group. After leaving Peerless, he next founded Advance Design Research Inc. in 1988, and later began manufacturing of refuse bodies under the name ADR Industries. Perhaps best known for a compartmented side bucket loader for recycling, ADR also built a front loader and a split-body side loader. After founding ADR, Knapp filed a patent for a lift arm in 1989. It is currently unknown when ADR ceased operations.
